Diversity Visa (Green Card Lottery)
Every year the Department of State (DOS) runs a visa lottery for countries that do not have a high level of immigration to the United States. The application period usually lasts for two months in the fall, and the application process is fairly straightforward. DOS posts instructions and the online application form on its site.
Currently, I am not able to assist with lottery application itself. However, I am able to assist you with applying for an immigrant visa or permanent residence if you win the lottery. If you win the lottery but have previously had problems with immigration, I highly recommend talking to a lawyer to see if you qualify for permanent residence.
Winners of the lottery must apply for permanent residence or an immigrant visa to the United States by September 30 of the designated year, or they lose their chance to use that visa.
